Decker 1.13

Decker v1.13 is a maintenance release with bugfixes, performance enhancements, and some new examples.

Fixes (Native):

  • Reading "patterns[0]" now returns a blank 8x8 image, instead of scrambled garbage.

Fixes (Web):

  • Corrected an inconsistency in how canvases inside contraptions were deserialized.
  • Framerate timing is now much more accurate and consistent with native-decker. On slow machines, web-decker will drop frames to "catch up", resulting in animation that becomes choppier in appearance but is less likely to slow down. These changes also provide mild performance improvements to web-decker rendering overall.

Fixes (Web and Native):

  • Custom contraption attributes of the "rich" type now properly preserve rich text formatting and inline images.
  • Switching to interact mode in the prototype editor automatically exits FatBits mode, as in card editing.
  • It is no longer possible to activate certain keyboard shortcuts when they should be suppressed by modal dialogs.
  • In some situations, contraption instance scripts were able to (incorrectly) reference widgets inside the contraption.

New Features:

  • While using drawing tools, the 9 and 0 keys can be used to cycle between brush shapes. This is primarily intended to permit remapping hotkeys to these actions, as a loose proxy for adjusting line width.
  • A new example deck, "patedit", featuring a simple editor for the 1-bit drawing patterns:

yay pattern editor! nice work

Could the grid overlay be toggled to be a grid underlay, so it doesn't hide single width lines?
